The Bargaining Committee Tour : A Resounding Success
From November 25 to December 18, 2025, members of the Bargaining Committee travelled across Quebec and New Brunswick to meet with STTRC members as part of the pre-negotiation tour for 2026.
Whether in person or via videoconference, the Bargaining Committee members met with over 350 members during the fifteen meetings held in:
- Trois-Rivières;
- Sherbrooke;
- Montréal;
- Quebec City;
- Rivière-du-Loup;
- Rimouski;
- Matane;
- Saguenay;
- Baie-Comeau;
- Sept-Îles;
- Rouyn-Noranda;
- Moncton.
The five priorities identified by the members are:
Wage increases;
- Increased benefits (work-life balance, group insurance, and special leave);
- Revised job descriptions and additional compensation for multitasking;
- Increased vacation time;
- Job protection.
In the coming weeks, the bargaining committee will summarize the feedback gathered from members, review the entire collective agreement, and gradually begin drafting the list of demands, which will be presented to STTRC members at a special general meeting on March 14.
Mark this date on your calendar as an important event in 2026. This is your collective bargaining.
